Cat's Eye: A Good Girl Comic Comes To Life In 1997

 I Loved Cat's Eye both as a beautifully drawn manga and as one of the 80's best anime series, and was delighted to discover its 1997 live action incarnation as well. Here's a peek at its exciting trailer:

The film starred a trio of 90s Japanese idols as the criminal Kisugi sisters:
 Yuki Uchida ... Ai Kisugi      Yumi Inamori ... Hitomi Kisugi      Norika Fujiwara ... Rui Kisugi 

They all looked great all the time whether in their civilian gear, cat suits or even with their cat masks on!

In terms of tone, the Cat's Eye movie most closely resembles Mario Bava's Danger Diabolik: a comedy adventure done with visual flare to conceal a tight budget. If you like Diabolik, this just might be for you.
